Heron and Willow is a family run bookshop in the beautiful town of Jedburgh in The Scottish Borders.
We sold our first ever book on April 1st 2023 and haven’t looked back since! We’re really proud to have been named Finalist for UK Bookshop Of The Year every year we’ve been open (2024/25/26)
We tend to stock books we find curious and interesting and love the idea of customers finding something that makes them go “Ooo” or “Wow”.
We have a dedicated children’s area, with nook and drawing table. We stock a interesting array of books about Scottish history. And we’re also into our music (due to a previous life of running a festival for over a decade) so we stock music books, new vinyl and record players.
We run three books groups, a writing group and host monthly events with authors, comedians, musicians, and/or people with an interesting story to share.
We love our community; Jedburgh has some great independent shops and being the first town of Scotland, it’s easy to get to on the A68, halfway between Newcastle to Edinburgh and very close to other Borders towns, such as Melrose, Kelso, Hawick and Galashiels.
