Things don’t always go to plan. Our original plan was for Heron & Willow to open on World Book Day but alas, it wasn’t to be.
There are plenty of bookshops in the Scottish Borders for you to visit and explore and enjoy the day, but what we have done is get our online shop up and running.
Eventually this will mimic our in shop stock but for now we’ve each picked 10-20 books we really like and got them live. Really, we’re just inviting you to have a look and see what we are into but if you want to make a purchase you are of course very welcome! You might even be the first ever Heron & Willow sale we ever make.
We kind of went by instinct and with our first thoughts. So we have authors as varied as Kazuo Ishiguro, Philip K Dick, Douglas Stuart and Dr.Seuss and topics as broad as Communist Architecture, Tom Hank’s love of typewriters and a Cat In A Hat (all equally valid, of course).
