On June 17th, as part of Independent Bookshop week, we are delighted to host Heron & Willow’s first Author event.
Joining us in the shop will be Douglas Jackson, born and raised here in Jedburgh. Tickets are on sale now.
Douglas Jackson is a veteran of the historical fiction genre, with June 2023 marking the publication of The Barbarian, his second book depicting the treacheries and betrayals of a historical period that continues to fascinate the UK and provide new historical discovery.
‘Roman historical fiction at its very best.’
‘Douglas Jackson is one of the finest writers about today’
FOR WINTER NIGHT
June also sees the publication of The Wall in paperback which expertly portrayed the dying days of Roman rule in Britain and the early significance of Hadrian’s Wall.
The evening will feature an interview with Douglas, readings, a Q&A and – of course – the chance to get signed copies of both books.
You can per-order either (or both) books as part of your ticket, which effectively makes the event free to attend. Alternatively there will be (limited) books available on the night.
Doors at 19:00. Event starts at 19:30. It will take place at Heron & Willow Bookshop, 4 Canongate, Jedburgh.
